Shelly Kneupper Tucker

As a storyteller, Young Audiences artist Shelly Kneupper Tucker knows the power of words. In 27 years of telling tales, she has developed her craft such that the National Endowment of the Arts named her an "American Masterpiece." She uses her language skills to encourage better writing in young students. After telling them a story, she uses games and examples to emphasize the importance of writing creatively to "paint a picture with words." Excellent for state test preparation! Have the children bring a sheet of paper, a pencil, and their imaginations.
